Dix activités à faire sur Bristol cette semaine!


Monday-Wednesday: Abigail’s Party, 40 Alfred Place Bristol’s permanent pop-up will be turned into a 1970s living room for Mike Leigh’s comedy performed by Bristol University’s Spotlights.

Monday-Friday: Current Location, Wardrobe Theatre FellSwoop Theatre present the UK premiere of Toshiki Okada’s new play about a village soon to disappear and how the community copes.

Tuesday: Catalunya Tasting, Flinty Red The Cotham Hill restaurant hosts a special supper celebrating the food and wine of Spain’s proud Catalunya region.

Tuesday-Thursday: Gloriator (above), Bristol Old Vic Studio Ridley Scott’s Oscar-winning film Gladiator on a budget, devised by French-English female comedy double-act Spitz & Co.

Thursday-May 3: Arcadia, Tobacco Factory Theatre Widely acclaimed as Tom Stoppard’s masterpiece, Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory present their first contemporary theatre production.

Thursday: Dark Horses, Exchange A Brighton band signed to a Canadian label, fronted by Swede Lisa Elle who has drawn comparisons with Grace Slick and Siouxsie Sioux.

Friday: St Paul’s Players 60th anniversary show, Southbank Centre Showcasing the group’s talent with two one-act plays, as well as sketches and monologues performed by current players and guests.

Saturday: Republic of Somerset, Yurt Lush A celebration of some of the best Somerset cidermakers to a backdrop of music from DJs and live bands from midday to midnight.

Saturday: Poeticall Musicke, St John the Baptist church An intimate evening of French Baroque music marking the season of Lent from a London orchestra on a tour of historic churches.

Sunday: Kerry Godliman (below), The Comedy Box Seen on Live At The Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Godliman recently appeared as Hannah in Ricky Gervais’ Derek.
